My name is Christian Beufve. I'm a certified math teacher specializing in SAT math and ACT math & science test prep as well as math subject tutoring, grades 6-12. I travel throughout Nassau & Suffolk County, NYC- Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Westchester.
I take a highly individualized approach to SAT & ACT test prep. Regardless of what the large corporate tutoring firms would like you to believe, one perfect strategy that universally works for all students does not exist. I tailor my program for each individual student based on their learning style, strengths, weaknesses and direct input from the student.

starting skill levels.
SAT & ACT ExperienceI have worked with students with starting scores from the mid 300's to the high 600's (and equivalent starting ACT scores). This includes students receiving accommodations, students within the self-contained setting, mainstream students, and gifted students. Before working privately on my own, I trained and worked at some of the big name tutoring companies. I strive to incorporate the pros and eliminate the cons of these companies into my own program. Math Subject ExperienceIn addition to 1.5 years of full-time student teaching experience in two high schools and an alternative learning center, I have helped dozens of students raise their math grades and achieve their desired scores on Regents exams. My experience ranges from students who have always struggled in math to students in Honors math classes needing help to keep up with the pace of their class. Many of my math subject students previously worked with me on the SAT or ACT. Conversely, students starting with me on math subject tutoring often stay on with me for test prep. |
